Winery Přátelé Pavlova

At WINE Prague 2026, you will also meet Vinařství Přátelé Pavlova, a winery that has been cultivating its vineyards on the southeastern slopes of the Pálava Hills since 2011. Their six hectares are dedicated primarily to white grape varieties, including Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, and Pálava.

Winemaker Pavel Müller talks about the history of the winery, working in the vineyards, and their winemaking philosophy:

“The founding of Vinařství Přátelé Pavlova began with the planting of our first vineyard in 2011. Since then, we have planted a total of 6 hectares in one of the oldest and most important wine-growing regions in the Czech Republic, on the southeastern slopes of the Pálava Hills. From the very beginning, we have cared for our vines with a significant amount of manual work and using only organic products. We have focused on three white grape varieties – Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, and Pálava, a pleasantly aromatic local crossing of Traminer and Müller-Thurgau. We produce fresh, fruit-driven white wines with a distinctive purity of aroma and flavour. Our red wines show clear inspiration from the Left Bank of Bordeaux. We make our wines in our own modern winery in the picturesque village of Pavlov. Annual production does not exceed 50,000 bottles, and our family works alongside several excellent colleagues to produce our wines.”
