Wine Prague Returns with a New Concept to the Historic Heart of Prague
One of the most beautiful historic locations in the metropolis, precise organization, an efficient concept for exhibitors, various presentation options, and easy accessibility for all visitors—this is exactly how the Wine Prague fair returns to Prague this year after a one-year hiatus. It will take place on October 19 at the Žofín Palace.
The world of wine presentations and trade has been changing lately. Increasingly rapid times and the need to optimize presentation costs and acquire new customers require new and highly effective solutions from winemakers, importers, and merchants alike. The time of important customers is also becoming more precious. It turns out that the most important thing today is to let the wine speak for itself; whether a winemaker’s style, story, and above all, their products captivate a potential client is a matter of minutes. Wine Prague 2026 will therefore bring a simple and cost-effective arrangement of exhibition spaces for successful and highly professional wine presentation. The fair will occupy the entire Žofín Palace, offering not only main halls but also other attractive spaces with vast possibilities to customize presentation styles and visitor interaction for winery groups, consortia, or large companies. Naturally, there will be options to organize guided tastings or masterclasses in specialized rooms.
The organizers have also designed a logistics and delivery system for wine samples so that everything runs smoothly, regardless of the challenges posed by the location in Prague’s historic center. This allows winemakers and other exhibitors to arrive “light,” find everything ready, and focus fully on presenting their wines. “After my first trips abroad this year, we sense immense interest from foreign winemakers in the domestic market. We have received very positive reactions to the new fair concept and already have many applicants wishing to present themselves to customers in Prague. At the same time, Wine Prague should play a clear role primarily as an important celebration of domestic winemaking and a showcase of the best produced in the vineyards and cellars of Bohemian and Moravian winemakers. Where else to proudly present the pinnacle of domestic winemaking art than in the very heart of the capital, directly opposite the National Theatre, in a building firmly linked to the republic’s history,” says Michal Šetka, President of the Fair, about the vision for domestic winemaking at Wine Prague 2026.
