VínaBG
VínaBG, a company specialising in the import and distribution of Bulgarian wines, will also be exhibiting at WINE Prague 2026. Its portfolio includes both internationally renowned grape varieties and indigenous Bulgarian varieties, which reflect the unique character of the country’s winemaking tradition. The owner, Nikolai Mitev, shared his philosophy with us:

” VínaBG is one of the few businesses in Czech Republic focused entirely on this emerging wine region. We work directly with more than 30 Bulgarian wineries, from boutique family estates to internationally recognized producers, bringing their wines to the Czech market
We offer reds, whites, and rosés, and sparkling wines. Our selection includes recognized grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, grown in Bulgaria’s distinct terroir. We also offer native varieties rarely found outside the country: Mavrud, Melnik, Gamza, Rubin, Misket, Dimyat, and Tamianka. These indigenous grapes are central to our mission — they represent Bulgaria’s winemaking identity and offer international audiences something genuinely new to discover.
VínaBG is the official Czech importer for Starosel, one of Bulgaria’s leading wineries, and works with respected producers including Katarzyna Estate, Villa Melnik, Bessa Valley, Burgozone, and Medi Valley, among others. Beyond retail, we actively build cultural bridges between Bulgaria and the Czech Republic. Our approach favors authenticity over mass appeal: we look for wines that tell a story about their place of origin, not just wines that sell easily.”
