Vinařství Kněží hora |on WINE PRAGUE 2024

"If you visit the town Bzenec, you can visit our winery Kněží hora. We currently farm 22 hectares of land in the municipalities of Bzenec and Strážnice. In our vineyards we grow the main varieties of Riesling and its hybrids such as Hibernal, Johanniter and Kerner. There are also Pinot varieties, as well as the old Sylvan green variety and a little something specific, namely Blauer silvaner and Muscat yellow. The soil has a high calcium content, which is a remnant of the calcareous shells of marine animals. The light sandy soil, dry climate and other climatic factors in the proven terroir of the Bzenec area determine the quality and unique taste of the wines, which make them stand out from the rest.
