The Zago family has always lived along the Piave River, committed to farming and passing their expertise, traditions and values of the soil and the world of winemaking from one generation to the next. This strong connection with the land dates back to the middle of the 19th century when Francesco Zago moved to Maserada sul Piave with his family but this bond didn't take on its distinctive trait until 1973 when Luigino decided to allocate the family's property exclusively to growing grapes. This passion for wine has run deep in the family and continues to this day thanks to the collaboration of his son Federico, a qualified oenologist, and daughter Chiara who is in charge of communications and market development.
